Community Guidelines

The dos and don'ts of being part of the Boardroom Confidential community.

Welcome to the boardroom.

Welcome to the Boardroom Confidential Community, where what happens in the boardroom stays in the boardroom.

We’re here to create a space where you can talk shop, share insights, and let your hair down without worrying about what will pop up on LinkedIn. But with great access comes great responsibility. So, a few ground rules to keep things high-class and high-trust.

The Golden Rules

To keep the community valuable and respectful, everyone must commit to the following:

Be Kind, Be Classy. Show empathy and respect—this isn’t your average community, it’s a private space for executives to talk about anything and everything.

Agree to Disagree, Respectfully. We’re not always going to see eye to eye. That’s fine. Just keep it civil and don’t say anything you won’t say to someone’s face.

Keep It Real. Be honest, transparent, and contribute with intention. No fluff.

Share, But Don’t Overshare. This is a space for insights, not oversharing. Respect NDAs and confidentiality agreements you have elsewhere.

No self-promotion. The companies you’re running are magnificent, no doubt, but any blatant or shameless promotion will be removed.

✅ Confidentiality is King. Anything shared here stays here. Violate this, and you’ll be shown the door faster than a CFO fudging the numbers.

All of these points are important, but the most important is confidentiality. It’s literally in our name. What happens in the boardroom stays in the boardroom.

What We Don’t Tolerate (Not Even a Little)

Discrimination of any kind. Comments that are sexist, racist, or homophobic will not be tolerated. We’re here to lift each other up, not tear each other down.

❌ Unwanted advances and sexualized language. Professionalism is expected at all times. Inappropriate behavior will result in immediate exit from the community.

❌ Disrespectful clashes. Passionate debates? Yes. Personal attacks? Not.

❌ Sharing private details. Whether it’s someone’s contact info or that juicy deal they’re working on. One strike, and you’re out.

❌ Harassment, trolling, or toxic behavior. Includes anything that smells like it belongs in a high school cafeteria.

❌ Self-promotion. Misuse of the space for anything that feels like spam.

Enforcement: If you see someone stepping out of line, drop us a note, and we’ll handle it swiftly and discreetly. No public drama, just swift action behind the scenes. If you’ve broken the code, expect swift consequences—whether it’s a post removal or a permanent exit from the community.

The 1-Strike Rule

Here’s the deal: stay respectful, don’t spam, and, above all else, make sure that what happens in the community stays in the community. Break that trust, and you’ll be removed after one strike with zero fanfare. Participate, add value, and be genuine, and we’re going to have a great time.
